Action for Social Development & Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to providing multi-sectoral emergency assistance and development interventions. ASDEPO is currently seeking a qualified professional for the position of Education in Emergency Project Officer for its program in the East Gojjam Zone, Amhara region.
Responsibilities
👉 Plan, lead, manage, and implement the project, ensuring quality and the achievement of results. 👉 Ensure strong stakeholder and partner relationships are maintained. 👉 Work closely with the Project Coordinator and other officers to ensure planned activities are implemented in a prioritized manner, in full consultation with all relevant agencies. 👉 Ensure the education project complies with all organizational and statutory policies. 👉 Lead frequent and regular monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes. 👉 Draft and submit high-quality, timely reports to the relevant program and country offices. 👉 Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress, priorities, and constraints.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in implementing Education in Emergency projects.
- Desired Skills: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of formal and non-formal education, familiarity with humanitarian interventions in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) settings, and an awareness of safeguarding and child protection issues.
Location, Contract, and Salary
- Location: The position is based in Machakel woreda, East Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region.
- Employment Type: The position is offered as a one-year contract, subject to renewal every three months based on performance.
- Salary: The salary will be determined based on the organization’s scale.
