Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Role Overview

Dashen Bank is seeking a Junior Payment Card System Administrator to join its team at the Head Office in Addis Ababa. The role holder will play a key part in the development of in-house digital solutions and platforms, in addition to providing essential system support. This position requires an individual who can interpret business needs and deliver effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities and Technical Competencies

  • Participate in the development of in-house digital solutions and platforms.
  • Provide continuous system support and demonstrate competence in delivering business solutions.
  • Understand the basic mechanisms of general systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Possess hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools.
  • Understand the basic mechanisms of general VMware virtualization design, build, and administration.
  • Understand the basic mechanisms of general SQL administration and SQL toolsets.
  • Adhere to applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering, or any other equivalent field.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is required.
