Special Diploma in Humanity Program – Second Round Application
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS), leveraging over 90 years of leadership in humanitarian service, is inviting applications for the second round of its Special Diploma in Humanity program through the newly established School of Humanity. This program aims to cultivate a generation of leaders committed to social responsibility, empathy, and building a more peaceful and just society through innovation, research, and teaching.
Program Type
Regular Program :- One Year Duration & Second Round Application Status
Weekend Program :- One and a Half Years Duration & First Round Application Status
The school’s inaugural batch, which included professionals from fields such as engineering, medicine, public health, management, economics, and ICT, established a vibrant academic environment for professional discourse.
Application Requirements
Candidates interested in applying for this program must meet the following criteria:
👉 Possess a minimum of a BA/BSc degree in any field of study.
👉 Demonstrate a strong vested interest in serving within the humanitarian sector.
👉 Young applicants, particularly those between the ages of 20 and 40 years, are highly encouraged to apply, though the applicant pool is not strictly limited to this age range.
👉 Be able to pass a written qualification examination.
Application Procedure
Application Dates and Time: The application period is from September 30, 2025, to October 15, 2025.
Place for Application: Applications must be submitted in person at the School of Humanity Campus within the Adey Abeba Red Cross Compound, Saris Area.
Important Notes for Applicants:
- In-Person Application Only: There is no online platform available for application submissions.
- Documentation: Upon arrival at the Adey Abeba Campus, applicants will receive full information regarding the application, registration, and education fees, as well as the official bank account number for deposit.
- Required Documents: After being fully informed and confirming agreement with the terms, applicants will be required to submit the following:
- Original degree certificate along with two copies.
- Original student copy (transcript) along with two copies.
