Vision Fund Microfinance Institution S.C. is seeking a Programmer to join its technology team in Addis Ababa. This role involves full participation in the software development life cycle, focusing on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of critical software applications. The Programmer will work closely with analysts, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into functional and efficient solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required, including at least 3 years of relevant experience in system development or information technology operations.
Technical Requirements
👉 Proven professional experience as a Programmer or Software Developer.
👉 Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
👉 Practical experience working with databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
👉 Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
👉 Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, ASP.NET).
👉 Knowledge of mobile app development platforms (e.g., Android, iOS) is desired.
Other Skills
👉 Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of attention to detail.
👉 Capacity to investigate and analyze technical information and draw sound conclusions.
👉 Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories, and techniques effectively.
👉 Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
👉 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
