Role Overview
GIZ Ethiopia is seeking a qualified and experienced Advisor for Vocational Training and Labour Market to join their team. This senior role involves providing expert technical advice, management support, and strategic input to programs focused on strengthening the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector and improving labour market relevance in Ethiopia. The position requires a strong background in TVET administration and human resource development within the Ethiopian context. The role will be based primarily in Jigjiga or Addis Ababa, depending on programmatic needs and required language skills.

Requirements and Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Master’s degree or an equivalent advanced qualification in fields such as Education Planning and Management, Vocational Education, or other closely related disciplines.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in TVET management, supervision, and administration of TVET institutions.
- Experience in human resources management or development, preferably within the context of TVET institutions that deliver cooperative training models.
Additional Competencies and Knowledge:
- Business fluency in English is mandatory.
- Fluency in Somali is required for the position based in Jigjiga.
- Fluency in Amharic is required.
