Africa Insurance Company (AIC) is a privately owned Professional Insurance Company established in 1994 in accordance with the Licensing and Supervision of Insurance Business Proclamation No.8/1994, and the commercial code of Ethiopia.
The company is set up with fully paid up capital of 30 million Ethiopian Birr. The capital is divided into 30,000 ordinary shares, each with a par value of 1000 Ethiopian Birr. The Corporate Motto” Committed to Excellence and Quality Services” has been adapted immediately on commencing its operation, as a guiding principle in all aspects of AIC’s activities.

Africa Insurance Company (AIC) invites applicants for the position of Accountant/Auditor I, Attorney I & Network/Database Administrator II

Position 1 : Accountant / Auditor – I

Key Responsibilities

👉 Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and records.

👉 Participate in internal and external auditing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

👉 Conduct detailed checks on accounts, transactions, and financial systems.

👉 Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review.

👉 Ensure all financial operations adhere to the Commercial Code of Ethiopia and relevant insurance business proclamations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: BA Degree or Level IV Certification in Auditing, Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Banking & Insurance, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 0/4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Note for Fresh Graduates: This role is specifically targeting graduates from the 2016 and 2017 E.C. academic years only, who must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 and above.

Position 2 : Attorney I

Key Responsibilities

👉 Provide legal advice and support across various departments within the company.

👉 Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, legal documents, and policies.

👉 Assist in managing litigation, regulatory filings, and compliance issues.

👉 Conduct legal research on insurance laws, commercial codes, and related regulatory developments.

👉 Represent the company in legal proceedings or administrative hearings as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: LLB Degree or Level IV Certification in Law.
  • Experience: 0/4 years of relevant work experience.

Position 3 : Network/Database Administrator II

Key Responsibilities

👉 Manage, monitor, and maintain the company’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.

👉 Administer, tune, and ensure the security and performance of corporate database systems.

👉 Implement robust data backup, recovery, and security procedures.

👉 Diagnose and resolve network and database performance issues and outages.

👉 Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software related to network and database operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: BA Degree or Level IV Certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information System, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience: 2/6 years of relevant work experience.
