About the Job
The Intern at Empathy for Life Integrated Development Association (ELIDA) will support ELIDA projects/programs in achieving its mission to empower women and youth socially, economically, and politically. Interns are expected to work as part of the program team, demonstrate professional conduct, and ensure the proper use of organizational assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support program and outreach activities
- Assist advocacy team on photography and videography
- Graphics design (Adobe Photoshop)
- Assist in records and report preparation
- Support fundraising and resource mobilization efforts
- Content creation and documentation for social media
- Social media management and engagement
- Event organization support
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related social science fields:
- Sociology
- Anthropology
- Law
- Political Science
- Public Relations
- Psychology
- Journalism
- Graduated in 2024 or 2025 with GPA 3.5 and above
Desired Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and research skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English and Amharic
- Knowledge of other local languages is an asset
- Requirement Skills:
- Communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English (Amharic an asset)
- Technical Skills:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English (Amharic an asset)
