The Ethiopia Statistical Service (ESS) is inviting applications for the position of National Data Collectors to support nationwide statistical data collection activities across all regions and city administrations of Ethiopia.
The role is suitable for individuals who are able to conduct field interviews, use digital devices for data entry, and communicate in local languages. No previous work experience is required, as selected candidates will receive training before deployment.

Position: National Data Collector
Role Overview
National Data Collectors will be responsible for gathering household and community information through interviews and digital data collection tools. The work may involve traveling within assigned areas, including rural and remote locations.
Key Responsibilities
👉 Conduct interviews and collect survey data from households and individuals
👉 Record and submit data using smartphones or tablets
👉 Ensure accuracy and completeness of collected information
👉 Follow survey guidelines and data collection procedures
👉 Travel within assigned areas to conduct field activities
Requirements
👉 No prior work experience required
👉 Must be under 45 years of age
👉 Minimum qualification: Diploma or Degree in any field of study
👉 Ability to speak the local language of the assigned region or district
👉 Basic ability to use smartphones or tablets for data collection
👉 Physically able to travel and conduct field interviews, especially in rural areas
Training
👉 Selected candidates will receive comprehensive training before assignment
