Safaricom Ethiopia is seeking a qualified OSP Technician to join the Information Technology team. The role involves managing the installation, maintenance, and support of the company’s outside plant infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with fiber optic technologies and a strong understanding of both aerial and underground network topography.

Responsibilities
👉 Support and maintain the outside plant infrastructure.
👉 Conduct installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
👉 Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing.
👉 Handle cable pulling and pole rigging activities.
👉 Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards.
Requirements
👉 Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication or a related field.
👉 At least 5 years of hands-on experience with fiber optic installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
👉 Proven experience in both aerial and underground network environments.
👉 Skills in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing.
👉 Experience with cable pulling and pole rigging.
