This position provides recent graduates with practical experience supporting the Climate-Sensitive Land Management (CLM-II) project, focusing on integrated land management (ILM) practices, community engagement, and project documentation within an international development context.
Role Overview
The Intern will provide comprehensive support to the project team across various functional areas, including data management, field facilitation, event organization, knowledge sharing, and project monitoring. The role requires a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
Educational Background:
👉 B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture or Natural Resources Management, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Watershed Development & Management, Land Use, Community Development, or a related field of study.
👉 Must be a fresh graduate who completed their studies no more than six months prior to the application deadline.
Key Skills and Attributes:
👉 Proven good knowledge of both English and Amharic languages, written and spoken.
👉 Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with digital communication tools (email, data collection tools, etc.).
👉 High affinity towards ICT-related topics and the use of digital tools.
👉 Ability to organize, prioritize several tasks simultaneously, and work in a dynamic setting.
👉 Strong drafting skills for communication material, with minimal errors.
👉 Ability to work independently, unsupervised, and as part of a multicultural and international team.
👉 Proactive attitude, solution-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities & Duties
👉 Support data collection and analysis efforts, including facilitating field surveys and collecting data on land management practices and climate resilience measures.
👉 Assist in analyzing collected data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the planning and implementation of Integrated Land Management (ILM).
👉 Assist in event management & community engagement, organizing training sessions and workshops for local communities on climate-sensitive land management.
👉 Engage with community members to gather feedback and promote the adoption of innovative agricultural practices.
👉 Assist in planning and organizing events related to the CLM-II project and coordinate logistics for smooth execution.
👉 Facilitate community, woreda, and zonal level project progress reviews and evaluations with partner institutions.
👉 Facilitate the establishment of district and kebele level technical working groups for the documentation of ILM practices.
👉 Support the development of digital tools and knowledge sharing by ensuring timely and quality data collection at landscape and district levels.
👉 Assist in the documentation of context-specific tested ILM measures and the dissemination of best practices through various communication channels.
👉 Facilitate project documentation & reporting, including preparing detailed reports on project activities, outcomes, and progress.
👉 Document case studies and success stories to highlight the impact of the CLM-II intervention.
👉 Collaborate with the communications team to manage internal and external communications, contributing to content for press releases, social media, and other channels to increase project visibility.
👉 Support project monitoring and evaluation (M&E) by helping to assess the effectiveness of implemented practices and providing input and recommendations for strategy improvement.
