Genetic Trading PLC is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Health Officer in Addis Ababa. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring adherence to health regulations, and accurately dispensing medical products and advice to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organized, and prepared to handle logistical and technical documentation responsibilities within the supply chain.
Role Overview
The Health Officer will be primarily responsible for the end-to-end management of pharmaceutical and medical supplies, from initial receiving and proper storage to inventory control and final dispensing. This position requires strict attention to detail, particularly concerning product quality, expiration dates, and regulatory standards within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities and Duties
👉 Perform thorough checks of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper handling, control, and storage of pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
👉 Accurately receive, record, store, and issue pharmaceutical supplies, medical equipment, and consumable medical supplies.
👉 Prepare necessary technical documentation related to inventory, quality control, and distribution processes.
👉 Monitor and control the expiry dates of all stored products and maintain accurate records of inventory points.
👉 Ensure all operational procedures and product handling strictly comply with local and international regulatory requirements.
👉 Dispense necessary medication and provide clear, professional advice to recipients regarding the appropriate and safe use of the products.
Requirements and Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a related field of study.
Experience:
- Minimum of 0 years of relevant experience. This is an entry-level position.
Skills:
- Familiarity with proper handling and storage protocols for sensitive pharmaceutical goods.
- Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for detailed record-keeping.
- Understanding of standard regulatory requirements in the health sector.
