East Africa Bottling Share Company has an opening for a permanent Area Sales Manager. This role is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth across a designated area by effectively managing the sales team and ensuring business objectives are met. The position is a key part of the regional sales leadership, with a focus on day-to-day operations and market execution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver sales volume and revenue growth for the assigned area.
- Maximize the effective allocation and use of resources, including point-of-sale materials and coolers.
- Manage and measure daily sales targets, taking corrective action as needed.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the sales team.
- Oversee the execution of trade and outlet activities.
- Manage outlet development and quality standards within the territory.
- Partner with sales representatives and customers to develop and implement customer-specific business plans.
- Monitor competitor activities and market share growth.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manage trade replacements.
- Implement promotional plans and report on any deviations from promotional guidelines.
- Ensure promotional compliance and proper merchandising execution at the channel level.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A First Degree in Marketing Management, Management, Economics, or Business Administration, or a related field of study.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in sales and marketing.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Possession of a valid minimum Auto/Dry 1 driving license.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in sales operations.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team.
- A strong capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
