Director, Digital Banking Department
Global Bank Ethiopia S.C. is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to fill the position of Director, Digital Banking Department at its Head Office. This pivotal role is responsible for directing the bank’s digital transformation efforts, driving innovation, and overseeing the entire digital product portfolio to enhance customer experience and secure a competitive market position.

Key Responsibilities
👉 Leading the development and implementation of the bank’s comprehensive digital banking strategy. 👉 Overseeing the management and enhancement of all digital products, including online and mobile banking platforms.
👉 Driving technological innovation and continuous improvement to ensure the bank maintains a competitive edge in the digital space.
👉 Providing strategic guidance to cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
👉 Utilizing data and analytics to inform digital strategy, measure performance, and guide decision-making.
👉 Ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management across all digital initiatives.
👉 Monitoring emerging technologies and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
Educational Level:
👉 MA/MBA/MSC or BA/BSc in Business Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Work Experience:
👉 A minimum of 8 years (MA/MBA/MSc) or 10 years (BA/BSc) of relevant banking experience.
👉 At least 3 years of the total experience must be in a managerial position.
Key Competencies:
👉 Proven leadership track record in digital banking, fintech, or the broader financial services sector.
👉 Strong knowledge base encompassing digital channels, online/mobile banking, and emerging technologies.
👉 Excellent strategic planning, project management, and analytical skills.
👉 Innovation-driven mindset with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
👉 Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Location and Compensation
Place of Work: Head Office (HO), Addis Ababa
Required Number: 1 Salary: As per the Bank’s Salary Scale
