The Organization for Rehabilitation and Development in Amhara (ORDA) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities and their institutions to achieve livelihoods and environmental security in Ethiopia. As part of its commitment to implementing integrated development programs, ORDA is seeking to fill 23 vacancies with qualified and competent professionals.

The positions are permanent and are located at various project sites and the head office in Bahir Dar.

Qualifications and Requirements

Requirements vary by position, but candidates should have the relevant educational background and work experience.

  • For Technical and Engineering Roles: A degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Sanitation, or a related field is required. Experience ranges from 4 to 8 years, with some roles requiring prior experience in an NGO setting.
  • For Management and Coordination Roles: A degree in Development Management, Economics, or a related social science field is necessary. Experience typically ranges from 4 to 8 years, with a focus on project coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and disaster management.
  • For Finance, HR, and Support Roles: A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is required. Experience ranges from 2 to 6 years, with specific requirements for different seniority levels.
  • General Requirements: Many positions require computer literacy, a valid driving license, and specific soft skills such as communication, report writing, and teamwork.

Work Location

The positions are based at various project sites, with some opportunities available at the Head Office in Bahir Dar and the Liaison Office in Addis Ababa.
