Policy Studies Institute (PSI) Vacancy Announcement 2026
The Policy Studies Institute (PSI) has announced a temporary contractual vacancy for qualified professionals to serve as Qualitative Survey Experts under the Career Support Program and Youth Employability project. The assignment will be carried out in Addis Ababa and surrounding cities beginning in May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
👉 Conduct qualitative in-depth interviews with job seekers based on assigned participant lists.
👉 Facilitate focus group discussions and field-based qualitative data collection activities.
👉 Transcribe interviews and organize qualitative findings systematically.
👉 Prepare synthesized reports based on collected qualitative data.
👉 Coordinate with project focal persons and project managers to ensure smooth field operations.
👉 Support participant follow-up and maintain engagement during the research process.
👉 Ensure research activities are conducted according to project standards and timelines.
Educational Qualifications
👉 Master’s Degree or PhD in Social Sciences or related fields.
Work Experience
👉 Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in qualitative research.
👉 Experience in career support or youth employability programs is required.
👉 Previous research experience with the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) is considered an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
👉 Strong qualitative research and interviewing skills.
👉 Experience conducting focus group discussions and in-depth interviews.
👉 Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
👉 Full fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic.
👉 Ability to work independently and within field research teams.
👉 Good communication and coordination skills.
Contract Period
👉 The assignment is expected to begin in May 2026.
