Amref Health Africa – Instant Network School (INS) Coach Vacancy
Amref Health Africa is seeking a qualified professional for the position of Instant Network School (INS) Coach based in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. The role will support the implementation of digital youth empowerment and skills development initiatives under the Instant Network Schools (INS) program, delivered in partnership with Vodafone Foundation, Safaricom Ethiopia, and other stakeholders.
Position Overview
The INS Coach will lead the implementation and management of digital learning and youth development activities within designated youth centers. The position focuses on delivering digital skills training, entrepreneurship support, mentorship, and employment linkage services for young people.
The successful candidate will work closely with Amref program teams, government stakeholders, and partner organizations to ensure effective program delivery and sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
👉 Manage the day-to-day operations of digital youth centers and innovation hubs
👉 Coordinate and implement program activities according to approved plans, budgets, and quality standards
👉 Deliver foundational digital skills training and entrepreneurship development programs
👉 Facilitate coaching, mentorship, and business incubation support for youth participants
👉 Mobilize youth through community structures and youth networks
👉 Support youth transitions into employment, internships, and self-employment opportunities
👉 Conduct employer mapping and labor market assessments
👉 Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders, employers, and implementing partners
👉 Monitor program performance and maintain accurate records and reports
👉 Ensure proper use, maintenance, and functionality of digital learning facilities and equipment
Required Qualifications
Education
👉 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience
👉 Minimum of 4 years of experience in program management or digital skills training programs
👉 Experience in designing and delivering training programs for youth
👉 Experience facilitating employment linkages, internships, or entrepreneurship initiatives
Required Skills and Competencies
👉 Strong training, coaching, and facilitation skills
👉 Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities
👉 Strong interpersonal and communication skills
👉 Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
👉 Problem-solving and teamwork skills
👉 Knowledge of Linux server administration, preferably Red Hat-based distributions
👉 Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills
👉 Fluency in written and spoken English
Work Environment
The role involves close collaboration with youth centers, local government offices, employers, community organizations, and Amref program teams. The position contributes to expanding access to digital education, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship support for young people.
